I’m New Here!

First of all, Welcome to New Hope Fellowship!

On the about tab above you can click to see things like our mission, beliefs, and meet our pastors.

We are a family oriented church serving all generations. We are a charismatic oriented church. We have people from all over the region, of different races, cultures, and styles. So there is something for everyone!

We have various ministries here, from our Worship Camp in the summer to our daily Outreach at our thrift store/ blessing shoppe. Take some time and poke around our site for more info!

Planning your visit to New Hope

We suggest 3 simple things when coming for the first time:

  1. Come as you are. Dress like you, act like you. God made you, we want to get to know you as you are!
  2. Bring a bible. If you don’t have one we have ones you can have and take with you.
  3. Expect to encounter a living God.

If you have any further questions let us know: office@newhopenewyork.org or call at: 585-657-7983

What a service is like

Our service begins at 10:00AM and typically is 90 minutes in length.  Service includes a time of worship, corporate prayer, announcements, and a message.  Afterwards we have a time of coffee, appetizers, and fellowship. When you come in, you will be greeted warmly by our Usher team with a bulletin and sermon notes.

Worship and Prayer time

Our Worship varies from week to week and is a mix of sacred hymns and charismatic praise and worship songs.  It is usually 30 minutes in length.  The result of this is a orderly, but worshipful environment that touches people of all ages and creates room for us to worship God, and Him to encounter us.

During our worship portion of the service we have a time of corporate prayer. The pastor or a member of the leadership team will come up and pray along with a few others for a topic that is on their heart. We believe that praying together as a church family should be an important part of gathering together.

Feel free to sit or stand during worship as you are able.  We love to see children and toddlers worshiping and taking part in our prayer time along side their families.

Communion

Some Sundays during worship, communion may be served.  This is where we take time to remember the sacrifice God gave us through His Son, Jesus.  The Pastors will give an invitation to take communion and the church will normally file in a line to the front table where the communion elements (juice and wafers) have been prepared.  Feel free to walk up, take the elements back to your seat and thank God for the sacrifice He gave us.

Preaching

All of our teaching comes from the Bible.  If you have a Bible, bring it with you so you can reference the verses being discussed.  Some weeks notes will be prepared and handed out when you enter the Sanctuary.  If you do not have a Bible, feel free to ask the Ushers when you enter the church and we will provide you with one.

Nursery (Newborn-2 years)

Nursery care is avaliable for infants through 2 years of age.  The nursery is a caring and fun enviornment staffed by volunteers who have undergone background checks.  The room is divided into two sections to better accommodate the separate needs of the various ages.  Staffing of the nursery begins immediately before the service.  At any time during service, you can bring your child to the Nursery, sign them in and inform the volunteers of your childrens needs.  At the end of service, please pick up your child promptly.

Kids Church (ages 3 years-12 years)

We love seeing our church grow with new children.  We offer a number of age-related activities for them on Sunday mornings.  Children are encouraged to stay with their parents until after the worship portion of our service.  Then, they will be released during announcements to go downstairs to the classroom.  Our children’s teachers will lead the way.  Feel free to ask an Usher who the teachers are, as well as feel free to accompany your child to their proper classroom.  All of our Kids Church staff have undergone a background check.

Wednesday Night Encounter Services:

Every Wednesday night @ 7pm-8pm

Our Encounter Service consists of an extended time of worship and prayer.  Our aim for these monthly meetings is to contend for the presence and the power of God to rest in our region and in our lives.  We spend time praying for and seeing: healings, signs and wonders, and ultimately the salvation of souls.

Worship

Our time of worship will be a mix of charismatic praise and worship songs, as well as spontaneously sung prayers.  Most weeks, worship will be played throughout the entire service in partnership with our prayers.
